Mixed Office Paper

  • Color and white paper

Newspapers, Magazines & Catalogs

  • Newspapers, including glossy inserts and ads
  • Separate magazines and catalogs from newspapers by placing magazines and catalogs in brown paper bags (no plastic bags please)

Place magazines in brown paper bags to separate them from newspapers.

Cardboard & Paperboard

  • Includes corrugated cardboard, brown paper bags, and cereal boxes
  • Flatten all cardboard to conserve space
  • Remove all cereal box liners, packing materials, or Styrofoam from boxes
  • No plastic bags, only brown paper bags


We do not accept: juice boxes, juice cartons, milk cartons, waxed boxes, soiled, wet cardboard or cardboard with food residue.

Please flatten cardboard and paperboard boxes before placing in bins.

Books

  • Phone books can be recycled with newspapers and magazines. Please remove any plastic coverings before recycling
  • Hardback and paperback books — please call the Recycling Center at 812.988.0140
  • Brown County Public Library · 812.988.2850 accepts hardbacks, paperbacks and magazines, no text books please.
